Normal Adult Rhythms
Alpha (8-13 Hz) is the dominant posterior rhythm in relaxed wakefulness. Beta (>13 Hz) is often seen frontally. Theta (4-7 Hz) and Delta (<4 Hz) are prominent during sleep stages or drowsiness.
